About Akrona

Akrona was created from a passion for skincare, natural ingredients and the belief that taking care of your skin should be a ritual rather than a chore.

Founded in Ireland, Akrona brings together my experience as a Beauty Therapist, Aromatherapist and Lead Formulator, with a passion for creating thoughtful skincare formulations that care for the skin while delivering a beautiful, enjoyable experience.

My journey began with natural haircare before I developed Akrona into a skincare brand, allowing me to explore my real passion creating skincare formulations from carefully selected ingredients and developing products with a purpose.

From natural beauty to modern skincare

As skincare has evolved, so has Akrona.

I'm increasingly inspired by the principles behind Korean skincare particularly the focus on healthy skin, hydration, gentle exfoliation, skin barrier care and consistent skincare rituals.

Rather than simply following trends, I want to take the principles that make these rituals so appealing and combine them with Akrona's own identity: Irish-made formulations, carefully selected botanical ingredients and a personal approach to skincare.

This is the next chapter for Akrona.

I'm interested in skincare that feels as good as it performs from a nourishing cleansing ritual to lightweight hydration and barrier-supporting moisturisation.

Rather than overwhelming your skin with unnecessary steps, Akrona is about creating a simple, considered routine that helps your skin feel clean, hydrated, comfortable and naturally luminous.

Akrona is evolving.

I'm currently developing a new collection inspired by Korean skincare rituals, bringing together ingredients and textures that focus on hydration, gentle renewal, skin barrier support and healthy looking luminosity.

The goal isn't to become another Korean skincare brand.

It's to create something distinctly Akrona combining the thoughtful rituals and innovation of Korean skincare with the botanical approach, formulation experience and Irish identity that have always been at the heart of the brand.
